Exploring the Human Psyche through Digital Storytelling in Language Learning
Keywords:
Digital storytelling, human psyche, literary narratives, identity.Abstract
Storytelling has long been used by people to express their thoughts, feelings, memories and perspectives․ Digital storytelling provides learners with a platform to narrate their stories with digital images, voice, music and text․ It also allows them to combine technology with creativity and to turn their own experiences into meaningful stories․ When learners create and share their own digital stories, they do more than practice language skills․ They reflect on their lives, they come to understand and present their identities, and they find their unique voices through experiences․ The classroom becomes a space where learners feel appreciated and their personal stories find resonance․ In this way, Digital storytelling serves as both a teaching tool and a modern form of literary expression․ Through storytelling, learners can explore who they are, where they come from, and what they feel, making the process of learning a language more personal and emotionally engaging․ This research paper examines how the use of digital storytelling enables learners to express their thoughts and feelings through stories․
