Abstract

This study investigated a Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Multiple Intelligences based program to Develop Secondary Stage Students’ EFL Oracy Skills, Argumentative writing and Critical Thinking. The researcher adopted the quasi-experimental design. The participants were sixty second-year secondary school students from Rabee Fallah School, Derb Negm Directorate, Sharkia Governorate, Egypt, who were equally divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was taught by using a program based on a neuro linguistic programming and multiple intelligences and the control group received regular instruction. Data were collected through an EFL oracy skills test, an EFL oracy skills rubric, an EFL argumentative writing test, an EFL argumentative writing rubric and an EFLcritical thinking scale. These instruments were pre – and post administered to both groups. The study material was designed and administered during the second term of the academic year 2024-2025.The results indicated that, a) the experimental group outperformed the control group as a result of adopting a program based on a neuro linguistic programming and multiple intelligences, and b) the experimental group did better in the post administration of the EFL oracy skills, the EFL argumentative writing, and the EFL critical thinking scale than in the pre administrations. Therefore, it can be concluded that using the program  is effective in developing EFL oracy skills and  EFL argumentative writing and critical thinking...
